Meet the Team - Mark Wood

We’re delighted to welcome our new Graphics Manager to the team, Mark Wood!

Mark joined us recently and has hit the ground running within our team, getting to know the ins and outs of all things HEX Graphics.

Mark brings bucket loads of experience with him, working as a Graphic Designer across numerous industries over the years, and owning his own company overseas for a decade.

To find out more about him, we asked Mark some questions...

What is your new job role at HEX Graphics?

My new role within HEX Graphics is Graphics Manager, which means keeping the clients happy and everyone busy!

What did you do before joining us?
I’m a graphic designer by trade and I’ve worked within various industries, the main ones being print, signage and vehicle livery. Owning my own company overseas for a decade, taught me everything I need to know about the signage and vehicle livery industry.

What are some of your career highlights?
Throughout my career I have worked on some great projects including some of England’s largest brands, Northern Rail, Millets, Tarmac to mention a few.

How you are finding HEX Graphics and the role?
I’ve been made very welcome by everyone I have met so far, and I know the role will be challenging but, because of the great team around me, I feel we will push on together.

Why you chose to join HEX Graphics
Meeting our CEO Martin Smith, and our senior figures Simon and Andrew, and hearing their plans for the future of HEX Graphics really drew me in. Also, The HEX Group’s understanding of family and work balance – that convinced me that The HEX Group is the correct place for me.

What do you get up to outside of work?
I have two young lads who both play football at a good standard which means I spend 7 days a week stood at the side of a pitch being a parent or a coach. I also enjoy BBQing all year round, so whatever time is left in the week I spend burning food
.

Welcome to the team Mark! We're all excited to see what the future holds for you!
